I am a lifelong theatregoer and keen photographer. After moving to York in 2011, I became one of the volunteer photographers for the York Mystery Plays in 2012. Since then I have been part of the photography group on other large community theatre productions and also been the sole photographer for many other productions both amateur and professional.
Most photographs are taken at dress rehearsals and processed quickly to be used in press reviews which usually appear within a couple of days of a show opening. The press only require a few images but I try to capture the whole performance so that the cast, director and crew can use them in their portfolio and the theatre company can add them to their archive.
